Picture two highly trained, professional CIA agents who work together exceptionally well, but tend to bungle missions. Now picture a woman dating the two CIA agents ? at the same time.

Through the use of humor and action, the fast-paced movie, ?This Means War,? keeps you entertained with the wild schemes the agents are willing to pull off to ?one up? the other.

Tuck, the British agent (Tom Hardy) tries to win over Lauren (Reese Witherspoon) through the use of simple and thoughtful actions. Tuck takes Lauren to the circus on their first date and even wins her a giant, stuffed animal.

FDR (Christ Pine), meanwhile, uses more expensive and elaborate methods. Lauren is coerced to go on their first date and is disgusted with all the flash and glamour FDR tries to dazzle her with.

Lauren, in the meantime, feels guilty for dating two guys at once, but has a hard time deciding which one to break up with. Lauren?s best friend, Trish (Chelsea Handler), is no help to her. In fact, Trish encourages Lauren to continue dating the two men.

As the plots to win over Lauren become more dramatic, a bad guy comes to town, literally. Heinrich (Til Schweiger), an international criminal, is out for revenge against the two agents who killed his brother. The two agents in the crosshairs are Tuck and FDR, of course.

With all of their focus on Lauren, FDR and Tuck come to a rude awakening when Heinrich enters the scene. After a wild car chase filled with edge-of-your-seat action, Lauren still has a decision to make about which guy she wants to choose.

?This Means War? certainly had moments of well-timed comedy and plenty of fast-paced action that made the time pass by quickly. Despite the comedy and intense action, I would only rate the movie 3.5 stars out of 5. The overuse of clich?s became old very quickly and killed what could have been an outstanding movie.

?This Means War? is showing at the Fulton Cinema 8. For movie times and ticket info, call (573) 642-2122 or go to www.bbtheaters.com.
