[Updated with video] Bermuda has recorded yet another road traffic fatality following the death of a 25-year-old man in a cycle collision in St George?s at 2am this morning [Jan 19].
This marks the second road death in 24 hours, and the?third in the past two weeks.
The police and other emergency personnel attended the scene on Mullet Bay Road, where a grey rental scooter could be seen positioned between the wall and a tree on the side of the road.
Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines said: ?First responders attended a serious single vehicle road traffic collision that took place at 2:06 this morning on Mullet Bay Road in St. Georges.
?It appears that a 25 year old St. George?s man was traveling on a livery cycle when he lost control of the cycle,? said Mr Caines. ?He was taken to KEMH where he later was pronounced dead. No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.?

Less than three weeks into the New Year, the island has already recorded three road traffic fatalities. All three road deaths have occurred in a 13-day time span, which Mr Caines said was ?clearly a point of concern.?
This morning?s tragic?occurrence?was the third road death of 2013, the death of 31-year-old Haile Matthews?yesterday was the second, and?the death of 51-year-old Andrew Peniston on Jan. 6 was the first.
Update 9.50am: A tweet from Deputy Premier Michael Dunkley said: ?I start the weekend with a heavy heart learning of another road fatality. Pray for the families. Action will be taken to calm our roads.?
